He served in the internal affairs bodies from October 1992 to November 2015 (police colonel, retired). In 1994 he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Police School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and in 1999 - Zaporozhye Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Worked in the operational units of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region (1994-1999), studied at the postgraduate course (1999-2002) and worked at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology (2002-2000) of the Zaporozhye Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs . From 2007 to 2015 occupied the positions of Head of the Department of Operative Investigative Activities and Special Equipment of the Zaporozhye Law Institute and Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, and from 2016 to July 2020 – Head of the Department of Operative Investigative Activities of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.
On July 23, 2020, he was appointed to the position of the first vice-rector of the Dnipro Humanitarian University, and from January 13, 2021 - the rector of the university. Since September 2, 2020, she has been working part-time at the university as a professor at the Department of Law.
He is a consultant (expert) at the Center for Forensic Research at the Faculty of Law of Matej Bel University (Banska Bystrica, Slovak Republic).
In 2005 he defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of legal sciences in the specialty 12.00.08 - criminal law and criminology; penal law, and in 2016 - a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Law in the specialty 12.00.09 - criminal procedure and forensic science; forensic examination; operational-search activity. In 2007, he received the academic title of "Associate Professor" of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, in 2021 - the academic title of "Professor" of the Department of Law.
He is the author (co-author) of more than 160 scientific and educational works, including 7 monographs, one textbook (with the stamp of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine) and 9 manuals (of which 4 are with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).
Participated in international scientific and practical events that took place outside the country, with reports on topical issues of combating crime: Most (Czech Republic, 2017), Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan, 2019), Bratislava (Republic of Slovakia, 2020). At the invitation of the US Department of Energy, he took part in the International Seminar on the Detection, Investigation and Prosecution of Crimes Related to Chemical, Biological, Radioactive and Nuclear Materials (Bratislava, Slovak Republic, 2018).
Under his leadership, applicants (postgraduates, adjuncts) defended 11 dissertations for the degree of candidate of legal sciences in the specialties 12.00.08 - criminal law and criminology; penitentiary law and 12.00.09 - criminal procedure and forensic science; forensic examination; operational-search activity, as well as one dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (specialty 081 "Law", field of knowledge 08 Law). To date, he supervises 4 applicants for the scientific degree of Doctor of Law and Doctor of Philosophy.
He is a member of two specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Law.

Repeatedly encouraged by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regional state administrations, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regional councils.
The main directions of scientific research are theoretical and applied problems of combating criminal offenses against public security, operational and search counteraction to crimes in the system of combating crime.
Teaches disciplines - "Criminology", "International standards in the field of criminal justice and crime prevention", "State policy in the field of combating crime."
